Indirect Buyer

Your Responsibilities
Summary:
Responsible for securing and analyzing quotations and negotiating prices and terms related to business needs.
Handles services and indirect material in regards to office and plant needs.
This role is in charge of the bidding process, negotiating and releases all purchase orders and following up to ensure the service or product is delivered.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

Ensure all purchases are made in accordance within Purchasing Policies.
Determine method of procurement, such as direct purchase or bid.
Fulfilling the require paper work and procedures to ensure transparency, including single source process.
Monitor KPI's and develop strategies to ensure KPI's are on a green status.
Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices.
Fulfill requests for expediting delivery of goods to end users.
Must be done in a timely manner.
Negotiation with vendors on pricing, delivery terms, payment terms and the ability to take additional administrative tasks when needed.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at/with all levels.
Ability to analyze varying product and service features, prices and qualities and determine most cost effective purchase for the organization.
Analysis and interpret business documents such as system reports, purchasing vendor documents such as certifications.
Assists in forecasting of annual budget in regards to indirect material and services purchased.
Assists in coordination and management of cost reduction activities (Savings).
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Assist with trouble shooting and generating corrective actions in response to defective or unacceptable goods or services.
Possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to complete work projects with speed and accuracy, often under pressure and/or short deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with general supervision.
Must be proactive, have a good follow through skills and work effectively as a team player.
Must be able to travel domestically and international as needed for support or to receive required training.
Maintains a working knowledge of environmental, safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
Your ProfileEducation and/or
Experience:
Two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in logistics and/or material planning and/or purchasing and/or similar functions.
Must have strong negotiation, presentation and organizational skills.
Computer and Technology Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of common MS-office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and SAP or similar systems.
Product Data Management software and Lotus Notes experience is a plus to this position.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
